Plagiarisum

I believe we need to cite our sources due to the fact that you should never give someone credit if you are using their words. They put a lot of thought and time into what they want to say so they should get credit for that. It sounds to me like it would be the same thing as a copyright infringment, and for that you can be taken to court and sued. I think if someone were to use something I said without giving me credit I would be very upset. When I write something it is my thoughts and if someone has the same ideas but like the way I said it then I should receive credit for it.
As for in the real world unless it is put down on paper by you I think it may be hard to prove plagiarism. It seems the rules that should apply to everyone in every aspect of life, but it don't seem to work that way. I guess by using pictures of you coul be considered one type of plagiarism, That you can prove is you and if there is no wavier to put up the pictures then the person doing so could be sued by you. I think a lot of plagiarism occurs on such sites as You Tube and Wikipedia. These sites do not give proper credit to the person or person's saying what they are using.

On a personal note I would just like to say I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, and that you are enjoying your holiday. This is a time to let everyone just how important they are to you and that you are glad they are in your life. Life is short and you never know when someone you love will be taken away from you. Make sure you tell everyone you love them everyday so that if something were to happen to them they would go knowing that you love them. Ok here goes I am thining of doing my paper on either Fetal Alcohol Syndrome or Preventing Teenage Pregnancy. I am leaning more toward Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. I seem to find it very interesting. I have found actual court cases that seemed to be interesting to me. Any comments or sugestions would be appreciated.
I also would like to add that I am loving neing an online student. I find it easier for me to work at my own pace rather then in an actual classroom. I can work on my projects due on the time that I can find to do it. It might be early in the morning or even late at night. I even find myself working on things if my house is full of peopple and I want to retreat to my bedroom I just grab the laptop and see if I need to do anything. Just turn on the radio and start working It helps me keep my santity.
As far as being part of a larger writing community I have come to like it. I can just writ donw anything that pops into my head if I am having a bad day or a great day. lets me vent a little I guess you could say. Hello everyone, I was born and raised in Ohio. I have no idea why I am still here. I hate the cold. I guess it's because I love to see the seasons change. I have 3 grown daughters, 1 grown stepdaughter and 1 step almost grown son. I have 14 granchildren between all of them. I have 10 girls and 4 boys. So needless to say our house is very busy around the holidays. This Christmas we will actually have them all here. I don't think a 4 bedroom house is big enough for all of them, but we shall see.
This is my third term here at Kaplan and I love it. This is my second Comp class. When I took the first Comp class I was terrified. I hated writting in school and I am still not a huge fan of it. but I have a better understanding of it now. I have found it's not as bad as I first thought. I am looking forward to meeting all of you. I am not the best at this but if there is anything I can help anyone with please don't hesitate to ask.
